Double House

The Double House, a single-family home in Hong Kong’s Kau To Shan valley, embraces its lush surroundings with a dual design. The ground floor, private and inward-facing, houses social spaces like the kitchen, office, living room, and a small courtyard. The upper floor, elevated to the tree canopy level, is open and outward-focused, containing the bedrooms. This first Double House serves as a prototype for a future multi-unit development across the valley.
